A few weeks ago I was asked to make four candles for a very specific purpose. One candle for each season, Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. This was not a sudden decision. She purchased various candles from us over the last 12 months to determine which one would suit best. The family has one pre-school child and another one will be due any day now. At dinner time, a candle is burned but only for a short time, approximately 1/2 hour. The Bangalow light was the best fit, but it did not burn quite long enough to last the season, so we made it twice as tall - approx 20 cm tall instead of the normal 10 cm. The colours were chosen with great care - green for Spring, yellow for Summer, orange for Autumn and purple for Winter. What a nice way to mark the change of seasons, especially in this area (sub-tropical) where seasons are not as clearly defined. Here is a photo :)
